Pondering Reminiscence - Dusk

Day melts with time. End of the roaming sun brings dusk.. Turn of stars comes along with the moon.. An intimate bond forms within the four walls... Dusk reminds the time of return to be with dear ones...

I always feel very close to dusk as it brings the whole family under the same roof. The dusk allows the twinkling stars to enter in the scenario. The nostalgic street lights... the birds flying for their nest...the wind.. the grey sky.. the blurred hills where the lights paints the yellow dots... everything enters in the feel to become a poem.

I belonged to a very protected family. Dusk was always a fear factor for me. Of course not when I was with my parents. Our Gauhati University classes were held from 1pm to 5 pm. We were special batch and administration tried to overcome our loss of educational year (from Assam agitation). Our classes ended almost at the entry time of dusk. Dusk attracts my poetic mind but I felt nervous till I reach my home. In the University bus I viewed the sunset over Brahmaputra. The vermillion colour merged in the ash colour. A perfect combination. Dusk followed me like a shadow. Lights one by one clicks and faded moon shows up in the sky. One day after occupying a seat I found a small wingsung pen already there. A tall boy came and took that pen and sat beside me. I was in the window view seat. On that dusk hour through out the whole way I felt a pair of eyes. Ah!a romeo. I remember till today that dusk hour was a thrill. Unknown acquaintance in dusk. A subject to draw ..to write a poem and memory to ponder....
