My Antique Piece

Keeping some moments permanent is the purpose of lenses i.e. CAMERA. Our father had a click 3 black and white camera with a brown leather case. Lots of our childhood periods are still safe in black and white photos clicked by that camera. Ma was very careful about the albums. Behind the tracing paper and glued corner photos are still fresh in those albums.

Then came the coloured photo era. I had the craze for clicking. The moment I got the merit scholarship from Gauhati University I brought a Hotshot Camera from the Starlight studio of Guwahati Club. The price was 650 rupees. Slim. Flat. Black. Simple functioning. Good flash light (2 pencil batteries), with 24 snaps. Again I brought a mini hotshot camera... the price was only 95 rupees. A lovely one. With these two camera I took all the coloured photos. Specially I took tiny cute Rishi's photo from different angle. I have now canon camera. But unfortunately mobile cameras are so handy that we are becoming used to it.

Camera's lens covers an area, person etc.But heart is broader then lens.It covers all the cameras which served their best periodically. My heart still longs for those cameras which are lying in the corner of almirah without reel and use. These antique pieces are the silent supporter of our life.
