Human beings are born creative. Sometimes the creative power remain dormant. And sudden inspiration gives us the wing to fly high, to reach the blues.
I used to draw from my very childhood,but time waits for a proper leap. The Assam agitation of 1980 started and our regular classes were hampered. A day came when destiny took me to Gauhati Artist's Guild. It was a HUB of creative people. Where my experience of being an artist started. Late Asu Dev Sir told us when our museum classes were on, that, we had to feel the statue with closed eyes to feel the curve.
Green is the colour of life, so is the rainbow. One can get any colour from anywhere... be it a petal of flower,a leaf etc.
I had a special attraction for the collection of wedding card.Wow...so beautiful the way of presentation..the colour... I happen to collect them unknowingly, not being aware that one day those cards can inspire my creativity.
Then the moment came when I plan to draw adorable Dr Bhupen Hazarika for Cotton College library (the college where I spent 5yrs of my college education). Some of my colour tubes got dried and I was a bit annoyed.. then suddenly flash of mind reminded me of my old wedding cards... I went to get my cards and wow... I was overjoyed ..viewing so many colours. The creative urge leapt up and mamamia... once it started there was no end!
A Mother, an Artist, a Poet, a Writer and an avid Dreamer… One who paint words and translates...
