Introduction

  • A sneak peak into the Spanish history and culture

Cooking Paella

  • Learn to make the delicious Paella. 
  • Learn to make a simple dressing for Paella.

Ingredients and tools needed - to serve 2 people

  • Any short grain variety of rice- avoid basmati please. 
  • Vegetables like, tomato, capsicum, mushrooms, beans,  runner beans, artichokes,  carrots (no rules you can bring what you can) tomatoes are a must along with vegetables of your choice. 
  • Olive oil for dressing and making paella 
  • Garlic- at least 10 cloves  
  • Saffron – a small pinch
  • Sweet Paprika/ smoked paprika powder
  • Parsley – a small bunch
  • Lemon 2 nos.
  • 1 litre water ( Minimum)
  • Chicken / vegetable stock – or any readymade stock cubes (optional)
  • Salt for taste
  • If preferred, meat like chicken or rabbit only. Seafood like fish fillets, prawn, squids and mussels.(all these are optional according to your taste and preference.)Ensure they are cleaned before the class begins. 
  • A flat bottomed pan/ skillet. No dosa tawas as the dish will be made in the pan so it should have a some depth.
  • A spatula/ spoon, Cutting board, Knife, Grater, Stove, Plate/ spoon/ knife to serve, Apron

  • A recipe of Paella will be shared to all participants.

  • Ingredients and tools needed to serve 2 people (can be adjusted during the workshop max to 4)
  • Please keep ingredients and kitchen space ready.
