Welcome to Pitaara Immersive. Zentangling is not just about making art, it's about children developing a skill that they can use as a tool to unfold their creative expression. Program Details: No. of Sessions : 9 sessions Day : Every Friday starting from September 18, 2020 Time: 4:00 - 5:00 pm Pitaara Community Meet: Every weekend Program Facilitator: Monali Garg That's Pitaara Immersive for you. - 5 fantastic curated courses to choose from with only 10 spots in each course - 8-week learning journey followed by 4 weeks of individual/group challenge to apply the skills - Intentionally designed spaces for emergence and community building - A curated course on constructive critiquing

Detailed Schedule

Week 1 - Introduction to Zentangling

  • Difference between Doodling, Mandala and Zentangling 
  • Finding patterns all around us ​
  • Who, when and how it started 

Week 2 - Create your pattern bank

  • Drawing tangles, lines, curves, squares, triangles, circle

Week 3 - Zentangle Tiles

  • Process and making of your zentangled tiles

Week 4 - Shading 

  • Shade inside different shapes 

Week 5 - 3D Patterns

  • Shade inside different shapes ​

Week 6 - Complex Patterns

  • We learn to make complex patterns piece by piece

Week 7 - Zentangled Inspired Art

  • We look at various art pieces, shoes, walls, bookmarks, paintings inspired by Zentangling 
  • We take up our own projects and make our Zentangling pieces

Week 8 - Craft 

  • Colouring Zentangled Design 
  • Craft photoframes,​ envelopes, wrapping paper, greeting cards

Week 9 - Personal/Group Challenge

  • Co-create projects and challenges to apply the learning of these 8 weeks to a real life project. It can range from zentangling a wall to design your own shoes.

  • The course will go on for 8 weeks
  • One session each week
  • Please try to join the experience on or before the given time

We are a small and close knit community of facilitators from different walks of life hosting unique experiential learning workshops. Our first unconference had over 300 participants over a two-day gathering. Children infused virtual screens with their energies, and we could experience the joy of learning together and the value it added to their lives. We work on bringing immersive critical thinking and democratic learning for children from different walks of life.
